Our staff is trained to personalize services to treat individual needs. GenPsych’s collaborative team consist of experienced and accredited psychiatrists, psychologists (PhD/Psy.D), psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners, and counselors (LCSW/LSW/LPC/LAC).

GenPsych’s staff is skilled in a variety of issues such as stress management, depression, anxiety, bi-polar, substance related issues, trauma, co-occurring/dual disorders, relationships, grief and more. We are passionate providers invested in your wellness on your time, when and where you need it.

Telemental Health FAQ

Telemental health is mental and behavioral therapy provided via telehealth technologies such as video conferencing.

You will receive a text confirmation and an email with links to registration paperwork. Please fill out the paperwork and follow the prompts to sign and return the paperwork prior to your appointment. Once paperwork is completed a Zoom link will be sent to you for your appointment.

A GenPsych’s provider is a licensed professional trained to personalize your services to treat your needs. Our collaborate team consist of experienced and accredited psychiatrists, psychologists (PhD/Psy.D), psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners, and counselors (LCSW/LSW/LPC/LAC). GenPsych’s staff is trained in a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, bi-polar, substance use issues, MAT, trauma, co-occurring disorders, relationships, grief and more. We are passionate providers invested in your wellness on your time, when and where you need it.

Inclusion criteria for telehealth services are; the client has an identified need to receive mental health treatment; consents to and expresses an interest in receiving mental health care via telehealth technologies and agrees to appropriate emergency management protocols. (Turk &Shore, 2015,167). Telehealth suitability is an ongoing assessment process.

There are a variety of variables that need ongoing assessment to address if telemental health services are suitably for a client.  Limitation may include when a client rejects telehealth during the informed consent, level of clinical risk, issues with technology availably and skill level, region and/or location, insurance and personal preferences.

Psychological safety is a term that means you are in the safest most secure and private setting for your session. Be sure you are alone, and no-one can overhear your sessions. You and your provider will talk about privacy concerns on an ongoing basis. 

NOTE: YOU WILL BE ASKED TO SHOW A PICTURE ID (DRIVERS LICENSE; ID CARD; SCHOOL/WORK ID) TO VALIDATE YOUR IDENITFY AND ENSURE YOUR SECRUITY AND PRIVACY.

GenPsych makes payment options convenient and hassle-free. We accept most major medical insurance without a referral. The GenPsych staff is happy to manage the insurance claim processing on your behalf, leaving you to relax and focus on your therapeutic program. GenPsych is “in network” with most insurance providers, including the following:

If you have insurance not listed, please call us. Co-payments are payable when services are rendered. We do not accept Medicare or Medicaid for our adult programs. If you have no insurance and want to discuss paying privately, please call us. If you have questions on insurance, billing, co-payments or any other financial matters, please contact us so we can help you resolve your questions promptly.

Everything you tell your provider is protected by strict federal and state laws. By law providers are mandated reporters in the event you report abuse of a child or elder or you are at risk of harming yourself or someone else. To ensure your privacy you will be asked to show id during your first session and subsequent session should it be needed. You will also be asked your location during your session for emergency purposes. Please refer to the informed consent for further confidentiality questions and concerns.

You must inform and confirm your location during your telehealth session with your provider. This is for your safety should there be an emergency when and where emergency personal and/or your emergency support person must physically reach you. The context and content of this procedure is located in your informed consent.
